Sylvania 6842PEM 42" Flat-Panel EDTV Plasma TV

This TV is actually a "monitor" which means it does not have a built-in cable tuner so you will need a cable box or if you already have cable coming into your home, you can get another device like a VCR and use that as a cable tuner. The screen shows bright clear colors with good contrast. I can tell you that the image is not crystal sharp like HD tvs because it does not have HD resolution levels. If you are looking for a thin wall-mountable tv with a good picture, this tv is for you. If you are looking for an HD tv of this size, they generally run $1000 higher. I compared this tv with a 42" HD tv side by side and I did not see a $1000 difference in picture quality. I am please with what I got.
